Bonnie Kocurek's Class
Welcome to STEM!
The most rewarding part of STEM is being able to allow students to explore, create, and think outside the box. At any given time, you can walk in our class and see a room full of students actively engaged in something. It may be loud and very busy, but learning is occurring on many levels!
STEAM vs STEM
STEM: Science-Technology-Engineering-Math
STEAM: Science-Tech-Engineering-Art/Ag-Math
At EB Elem, we refer to my class as "STEM", but the letter "A" plays a big role in our class. Our rural community is very rich in agriculture. Throughout the year we participate in a variety of programs through Texas Farm Bureau such as Ag in the Classroom & Discover Dairy. Our class has also had the pleasure of having a variety of farmers from the community come and teach us all about the importance of agriculture.

Your child has been busy exploring SO many exciting things in STEM! I've had lots of parents and students ask about materials we may need. I have listed a few below but if you have something you would like to donate and you are not sure if we need it, just email me.
Please note: Do not feel you need to go out and purchase anything just for our class. The list below consists of "stuff" you may already have laying around at home. The kids really enjoy contributing and have asked a lot, so I am starting a list. 😊
